Strategic Significance of "Going out"

Foreign investment is an important form of "going out" strategy.
At present, in order to expand market, optimize industrial structure, obtain resources and technology, break trade protection barriers, and develop internationally competitive multinational companies as well, "going out" is the natural choice for china. The strategic significance of "Going out" of are as below:

First, in a market-oriented, open and interdependent world, countries must consider, through an overall long-term development strategy of foreign investment, improve the national status in the global economy, and improve relationships with relative countries and regions which will gain a more favorable situation.

Second, been the "world factory" and depending on foreign trade more than 70%, China must consider to improve the quality of foreign investment while expanding oversea investment, upgrade its industry structure while maintaining its manufacturing advantages to enhance china's role in the international division.

Third, considering the position of manufacturing products for other countries and the need of   industrialization and modernization, china must consider how to obtain funds, technology, market and strategic resources.

Fourth, In the situation of many foreign enterprises entering into china to gain market shares, the Chinese economy must consider its new development. While foreign-funded enterprises come, some of Chinese enterprises also choose to go out to compete, this will be an inevitable process.

Fifth, while multinational companies use their ability to restructure its advantages, Chinese companies should also take the opportunity of adjustment of  industrial structure, using their comparative advantages to restructure the industries and enterprises of other countries, actively participate in international cooperation and competition to gain market share and technology R&D capability. In this way, we can strengthen ourselves, nurture multinational companies to match our position of economic power.
